Last night our resident creative genius Sally Dean and myself sat down to create the heads for one of Sally's ingenious projects - Sardine Can Shrines. At a HomeGrown birthday party on Saturday she'll be teaching 10-12 children to incorporate the heads into their own creation using beads, paints and other materials. Half the fun is in the process as these little personalities take shape. Sally's taught this same class to adults at Expressions in Scituate. I'm hoping we can schedule her to run this workshop for adults here at HomeGrown on a Friday night in the deep dark winter - when we're all searching desperately for something us to make us laugh!
