Saturday afternoon we had 10 little girls in to HomeGrown to celebrate Joy's 10th birthday. The project Joy chose to do with her revelers was a polymer clay covered light switch plate. We built a "birthday cane" each girl adding a layer of clay - the color of their choice - to a previously created cane. (A cane is a log of polymer clay that has a pattern running throughout. ) The girls had a lot of fun. After they left, their light switch plates were baked and will soon be ready for pick up.
