Best Laid Plans...
of mice and men. I had hoped to have a COMPLETE alphabet available to order prints from in time for the holidays. However, this is where we're at at the moment. The hippo is looking a little crazed and downright scary - perhaps a redo is in order. The rest, including K for kangaroo, T for tiger, J for jellyfish, C for crocodile, and D for dragon, are on their way. All I can say right now is that they'll be matted to fit a standard size frame. I'll be back in a jiffy with prices & sizes if there's anybody out there who'd like to order one. There's also a dapper A available as well.
The originals are done on scratchboard. Scratchboard or scraperboard is a technique where drawings are created using sharp knives and tools for etching into a thin layer of white China clay that is coated with black india ink.

I just love scratchboard and your designs are superb! Well worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteLisa, set the blog to show the maximum number of posts as I have.
ReplyDeleteHitting that 'older posts' thing is an obstacle that most will forego.
Check my blog to see how far it goes back.
Mind you, I think you are a dynamo ;)
Thanks for the tip Mary!
