Big Day Tomorrow!

Just back from the shop where my husband, youngest daughter and I have been primping and preening all day trying to get this place looking spiffy for tomorrow when I open the doors to HomeGrown Arts and Crafts to the public for the first time. It's a lot of work and I tend to be a perfectionist (much to my family's chagrin) when it comes to things like this. Thanks to all of the artists whoa are participating, we've got a great looking selection of products: beautiful glass mermaids and sea creatures from Dasken Designs, original watercolors by Duxbury's own Margaret Curran - (to be officially introduced next week!), outstanding photography of local landscapes, familiar skylines and lovely still lifes by Susan Hagstrom, gorgeous silk and felted work by Linda Mackey, fantastic oils and watercolors by Marianne Buckley Curran who has also provided us with some of her incredible work printed on 8x10 ceramic tiles, Laurie Antonelli dropped by a fabulous cedar hope chest impeccably hand painted and embellished in her signature style  - an heirloom in the making, and my own work from Boston Baked Beads is proudly displayed as well. Have I forgotten anybody? Lot's of interest in the shop. Heard from a few more artist that are interested in selling their wares - I'll let you know how that pans out.
