One of our artists, Mary Sheehan Winn, left for sunny Florida this past weekend. Before she left she dropped off a couple of pieces at HomeGrown. They are a little larger than her "daily paintings" and both demonstrate her ability to capture light and color in a masterful way.
This past week two separate visitors to HomeGrown compared Mary's work to that of JoaquĆn Sorolla y Bastida - a Spanish impressionist known for his ease of capturing the momentary effects of light, water, and people in motion. What an awesome compliment.
